The simple but charismatic performances by Metzler and Dillon are the most memorable aspects of this well-made drama. This original half sheet poster is rolled and in very fine plus condition.

The haunting beauty of the visuals is perfectly complimented by the meticulously scored music by Wendy Carlos and Rachel Elkind, which builds the tension to almost unbearable levels. Rusty James lives in the shadow of his older brother, the Motorcycle Boy (Rourke), who disappeared but has now mysteriously returned. The acting performances of Dillon and Rourke are truly remarkable and memorable; indeed, all of the performances are of break out quality for Lane, Cage, and Fishburne. The black and white cinematography is hypnotic and complimented perfectly by Stewart Copland’s Golden Globe nominated score. The bleak setting of Tulsa only reinforces the film’s major themes of isolation and helplessness. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very fine plus condition.

Original United Artists One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the William Dieterle family romance, I’LL BE SEEING YOU (1944) starring Ginger Rogers, Joseph Cotton, and Shirley Temple. Rogers plays a convict released from the state penitentiary for Christmas leave. On the train, she meets and befriends a soldier (Cotton) who has just been released from a mental hospital. Although Rogers does not sing or dance once in this film, she does deliver one of the best dramatic performances of her career. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very good condition—with some pinholes, some paper tape on the reverse side, and a minor fold separation at the fold intersection.

Original United Artists 1979 Re-Release One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Norman Jewison family musical, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (1971) starring Topol, Norman Crane, Leonard Frey, and Molly Picon. This is the film version of the Broadway musical, based on the stories of Sholom Aleichem, about a poor Jewish peasant in pre-revolutionary Russia who must deal with marrying off his three daughters in an atmosphere of anti-Semitic and state sanctioned pogroms. The Broadway production opened at the Imperial Theater in New York in September of 1964 and ran for 3,242 performances, setting a record for the longest running show at that time. Director Jewison wanted the whole film shot in an “earthy” tone. So cinematographer Oswald Morris shot most of the film with a woman’s brown stocking over the lens. Morris won the Oscar for Best Cinematography, and the film received two other Oscars for Best Editing and Best Original Score to John Williams. This original re-release one sheet poster is in very fine plus condition.

Although the television series “H. R. Pufnstuf” ran for only 17 episodes on NBC, Universal Pictures saw enormous potential in Puf, Jimmy, Freddie the Flute, and Witchiepoo. Billie Hayes plays the adorable Witchiepoo, and her memorable portrayal of this character is the highlight of the film. Raye plays Boss Witch (Queen of Witchdom) and Cass Elliot (in her only feature film performance) plays Witch Hazel. This original one sheet poster is folded and in good condition, with only some tape on the reverse side.

Fox. This film chronicles the antics of a group of college students who organize a nightlong scavenger hunt for five different groups ranging from nerds and jocks to babes and good guys. Disney released the film, its second to receive a PG rating, without any mention of its involvement, in hopes that the teenage audiences would be more likely to see it if they didn’t know it was a Disney picture. Still the film was a complete flop at the box office, but in a few years HBO was responsible for turning it into a cult classic. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very fine condition.
