Original Polish Poster (27×39) for the Ingmar Bergman family drama masterpiece, FANNY AND ALEXANDER (1982) starring Pernilla Allwin, Bertil Guve, Allan Edwall, and Ewa Froling. This amazing film is a sumptuous tale of an early 20th century Swedish family, the Ekdahls—Oscar and Emilie (the parents) and Fanny and Alexander (the children). When the father dies, the mother first seeks counsel from the local bishop and eventually marries him. The children are then forced to move to the bishop’s austere and forbidding chancery. A period piece of stunning detail, the film was nominated for six Academy Awards—including Best Director and Best Screenplay for Bergman. The film won four Oscars: Best Art Direction, Best Costume Design, Best Cinematography, and Best Foreign Language Film. This original Polish poster with artwork by Wieslaw Walkuski is in very fine condition.

Original Walt Disney Productions Six Sheet Poster (84×84), Re-Release of 1969, for the Clyde Geronimi and Wilfred Jackson animated classic, PETER PAN (1953) starring the voices of Bobby Driscoll, Kathryn Beaumont, and Hans Conreid. Based the immortal play by Sir James Barrie, this film is one of the best Disney movies of all time and certainly one of the iconic films of the Baby Boom Generation. The Disney version of the story is light and breezy and moves at a quick pace. When Peter, Wendy, and her two brothers leap out of the nursery window and fly over Edwardian London at night, the audience is treated to some of the most charming animation ever created for film. Later parts of the movie are equally enchanting, and the villainous Captain Hook is brought to great comic life by the Disney animators and the marvelous vocal talent of Conreid. A delightful score with a bouquet of delightful songs bring the story to life. This original six sheet poster is measure 84×84 inches and is printed on only two panels. Very fine plus.

Original RKO Style B Half Sheet Poster (22×28) for the Ernest B. Schoedsack adventure fantasy, MIGHTY JOE YOUNG (1949) starring Terry Moore, Ben Johnson, and Robert Armstrong. This is perhaps the most charming of all the “great apes” films and certainly has the best special effects. Willis O’Brien’s and protégé Ray Harryhausen’s stop action animation made Mighty Joe Young move realistically with incredible facial motions. This is the story of a girl who raises a gorilla from infancy in the wilds of Africa. She is wooed and wowed by an American showman, played by Armstrong who was also in KING KONG (1933). Eventually he brings the girl and the gorilla back to America to star in a nightclub act. The film won the Oscar for Best Special Effects, including the famous scene where Mighty Joe holds up a stage with Moore playing a grand piano. This original half sheet poster is folded and in good condition only. It would be a perfect candidate for restoration and linen-backing.

Original Sheet Music (9×12) for the song “One Song” sung in the William Cottrell and David Hand color animation classic, SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS (1937) starring the voices of Andriana Caselotti, Lucille La Verne, Eddie Collins, Pinto Colvig, and Harry Stockwell. This was the first and by far the most memorable full-length animated feature from Disney Studios. It tells a simple story of a charming princess saved from the evil deeds of her wicked stepmother by a group of seven adorable dwarfs. It astounded audiences when it was released in December 1937 and since has become an enduring family favorite. With music by Frank Churchill and lyrics by Larry Morey, “One Song” was sung by the Prince (Stockwell) during the opening credits, reprised by Caselotti during the film, and reprised again by Stockwell and chorus at the end of the film. Although the photo shows the image slightly eclipsed, the real sheet music has not been trimmed in any way and is in very fine condition.

Original Sheet Music (9×12) for the song “Over the Rainbow” sung in the Victor Fleming adventure fantasy, THE WIZARD OF OZ (1939) starring Judy Garland, Frank Morgan, Ray Bolger, Bert Lahr, and Jack Haley. Perhaps the most famous movie song of all time, “Over the Rainbow,” with music by Harold Arlen and lyrics by E.Y. Harburg, was sung by Garland in the film. The first album of songs from the film was issued by Decca Records in 1940 and featured only Garland from the cast singing “Over the Rainbow” and “The Jitterbug.” The Ken Darby Singers sang the rest of the songs on the album. It was not until 1958 that an official soundtrack recording was released. Although the photo shows the image slightly eclipsed, the real sheet music has not been trimmed in any way and is in very fine condition.

Based on a popular French comic strip of Jean-Claude Forest and cleverly adapted for the screen by Terry Southern, this film has been styled one of the “trash classics” of the 1960s. Barbarella (Fonda) is a 41st Century astronaut who teams up with a blind angel named Pygar (Law) to find the evil Durand Durand (O’Shea). This was the first sci-fi hero from comics to be adapted into a feature film instead of a serial like Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers, and the film has some of the most bizarre and surreal images of the period. This original style A one sheet poster is linen-backed and in fine condition.

At a budget of $300 million, this film was the most expensive film ever made at that time. This third film in the series, as well as the first sequel, had lost touch with its roots of the original and very popular film. The plots became so convoluted, it became increasingly difficult to remember the desires and motives of all of the now multiple characters. The film received Academy Award nominations for Best Make-up and Best Visual Effects. This original one sheet poster is double-sided and in very fine condition.

Original Warner Brothers One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Carl Reiner comedy, OH, GOD! (1977) starring John Denver, George Burns, Teri Gar, and Donald Pleasence. This warm and funny film explore the loving and practical relationship betweeen an everyday grocery clerk (Denver) and the supreme being (Burns). Reportedly, Director Reiner initially envisioned two old friends playing the main roles, Mel Brooks as God and Woody Allen as the grocery clerk. George Burns was such a hit in the role that he went on to make two more sequels playing the omnipotent one. This folded one sheet is in very fine plus condition.

Original French One Panel Poster (47×63) for Jean Cocteau’s visual masterpiece, LA BELLE ET LA BETE (1946) starring Jean Marais and Josette Day. This wonderfully surrealistic film, full of magic and enchantment, marvels the senses with novel cinematography by Henri Alekan , fascinating sets that were patterned after illustrations by the famous French artist Gustave Dore, and a lovely score by Georges Auric. The film was made despite limited funds, accidents, and even Cocteau’s severe illness, which required his hospitalization.
