The film came from the “Hit Parade” radio program sponsored by Lucky Strikes cigarettes and revolves around Susan Hayward who ghost writes songs for composer John Carroll, whose charms evidently outweighed his song-sriting ability. The film received two Oscar nominations: Walter Scharf was nominated for Best Original Score and “Change of Heart” was nominated for Best Original Song. This original scene lobby card in in fine plus condition.

Original 20th Century Fox Three Sheet Poster (41×81) for the George Seaton musical, DIAMOND HORSESHOE (1945) starring Betty Grable, Dick Haymes, and Phil Silvers. Impresario Billy Rose allowed Fox to use the name of his famous Las Vegas nightclub, The Diamond Horseshoe, which spotlighted stars from the early 20th century recreating the songs and skits that made them great. Grable looks and sounds great as the jaded and sassy Bonnie Collins in this Technicolor extravaganza. This original stone lithography three sheet poster is linen-backed and in fine condition.

The film chronicles a washed-up songwriter Harry (Oakie) who takes credit for songs written by hillbilly Lester (Burns) in his sleep. With music by Allie Wrubel and lyrics by Herb Magidson, the song was sung in the film by Bob Burns. Original Sheet Music for the song “Alone” (9×12) for the Sam Wood Marx Brothers comedy classic, A NIGHT AT THE OPERA (1935) starring the wacky trio, Allan Jones, Kitty Carlisle, and Margaret Dumont. Considered by some critics to be the best Marx Brothers films, it is certainly one of their best with some of the finest examples of their uncanny wit and physical comedy. The brothers get mixed up with an opera company and a divo and diva (Jones and Carlisle) in love and trying to get them to perform together.
