Original AVCO Embassy One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the William Girdler horror film, THE MANITOU (1978) starring Tony Curtis, Michael Ansara, Susan Strasberg, Jon Cedar, and Stella Stevens. The film tells the story of Karen (Strasberg), who enters a San Francisco hospital suffering from a growing tumor on her back. When the tumor gets larger, her doctor begins to think it is a 400-year-old Native American spirit who wants revenge. Although the film is hopelessly preposterous and campy, it is still very much fun to watch. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very fine plus conition.

CinemaScope treatment presented the story in an epic fashion. This film introduced actress Linda Cristal to filmgoing audiences. The
posters shows Kent Smith on his horse. Very Fine. This three sheet was printed on two panels and both panels are in very fine condition.

Original 20Th Century-Fox Insert Poster (14×36) for the Joseph M. Newman western, PONY SOLDIER (1952) starring Tyrone Power, Cameron Mitchell, Thomas Gomez, and Penny Edwards. Power plays a Royal Canadian Mounted Policeman who must bring a Cree tribe from the US back to Canada. Power is aided by a trail-savvy, talkative half-breed scout (Gomez), who provides droll comic relief throughout the film. Overall, the film has good performances and an excellent score by Alex North. This original insert poster is in very fine condition.

Original United Artists Six Sheet Poster (81×81) for the Lesley Selander western, WAR PAINT (1953) starring Robert Stack, Joan Taylor, Charles McGraw, and Keith Larsen. Stack plays the hardened commander who is entrusted with delivering a new treaty to the tribal chief. If the chief does not receive the treaty in week, he will declare war. The chief’s son (Larsen) agrees to lead the patrol to his father’s village but secretly want war with the hated white men. The poster is in very good condition, with only some chips in the border areas and some fold separation in the upper right vertical fold. Otherwise the paper is in good shape.

Original Italian Poster (39×55) for the Andre De Toth western, THE INDIAN FIGHTER (1955) starring Kirk Douglas, Elsa Martinelli, and Walter Matthau. Set in 1870, this is the exciting story of a former Indian fighter (Douglas) who has made peace with the Indians but while leading a wagon train through hostile Indian territory unwittingly gets involved with a Sioux Chief’s beautiful daughter (Martinelli). Cinematographer Wilfred M. Cline made wonderful use of the spectacular Oregon scenery, and the action scenes are expertly staged and executed—especially the Indian attack on the fort. This original Italian poster is folded, as is customary, and is in very fine plus condtion — no fold separation, vivid color, good paper integrity. A very nice poster for this film.

Johnson and Stone play a couple of confederate spies who steal a prototype new Gatling Gun from the Union Army. This original insert poster is folded and in very fine condition.

Original Columbia Pictures 3-D Insert Poster (14×36) for the William Castle western, FORT TI (1953) starring George Montgomery, Joan Vohs, and Irving Bacon. Set in the period of the French and Indian War in Colonial America (1754-63), British soldiers attempt to route the French army from Fort Ticonderoga. This film has great cinematography, outstanding and believable sets and costumes, and great action sequences making excellent use of 3-D. This influential film led to a spate of other colonial films in the 1950s and the great TV series “Northwest Passage.” This rare original 3-D insert poster is folded in very good condition. It does have some stains on the front from masking tape, but this could be easily cleaned.

Original American International Pictures Pressbook (9×14) for the Charles B. Pierce western adventure, GRAYEAGLE (1977) starring Ben Johnson, Iron Eyes Cody, Alex Cord, and Lana Wood. This film tells the story of a white woman (Wood) who is kidnapped by an Indian warrior (Cord) and taken to a Cheyenne camp. The kidnapping, however, turns out to be a forced invitation for the daughter to meet her biological father who also happens to be the tribal chief. This twelve-page pressbook contains a synopsis of the plot, informative articles about the cast and crew, various sizes of ad mats, and promotional ideas. The condition is very fine with no cuts to any of the ad mats.

Original Paramount Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Henry Hathaway modern western, NEVADA SMITH (1966)—starring Steve McQueen, Karl Malden, Brian Keith, Martin Landau, Arthur Kennedy and Suzanne Pleshette. In this classic study of vengeance, a half-breed (McQueen) evolves into a hardened killer as he tracks down the three men who murdered his parents. The screenplay by two-time Academy Awards nominated screenwriter John Michael Hayes is adapted from a novel by Harold Robbins. This was one of the first films to apply the contemporary standards of sex and violence to a Wild West setting. This a prequel to The Carpetbaggers (1964) which featured Alan Ladd as the older Nevada Smith. This original one sheet poster is folded and in fine plus condition—with only some scribbling on the reverse side, some pinholes, and minor fold separations at the crossfolds.

Shot entirely in Technicolor, this film details the history of the Navajo Indians and also focuses on the modern tribe’s everyday life. There are many interesting allusions to Navajo traditions, religious beliefs, and mythology. The film works better as an informed travelogue than as a sociological document. This style B half sheet is colorful and scarce. This original half sheet poster is folded and in very fine condition.
