Original Belgian Poster (Trimmed 13×17) for the Carmine Gallone historical drama, MESSALINA (1951) starring Maria Felix, Georges Marchal, Memo Benassi, and Delia Scala. This original Italian production was known in the U.S. as THE AFFAIRS OF MESSALINA and tells the story of the most notorious woman in Roman history. Felix presents a memorable portrayal of this complex ancient woman who comes to an ignominious end through her excesses and folly. The original Belgian poster presents a stunning portrait of the Mexican superstar. Although the poster is trimmed at the top with some of the playmate information still visible, it is still in very good condition. This poster would certainly be a good candidate for restoration. Original American International Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Michele Lupo action adventure, GOLIATH AND THE SINS OF BABYLON (1963) starring Mark Forest, Jose Greci, Giuliano Gemma, and Erno Crisa. This theater-used poster is in good condition. There is a chip out of the upper left border area.

U.S. One Sheet poster for the Warner Brothers film HERCULES [Le fatiche di Ercole] (1959) starring Steve Reeves. One of the best American poster treatments for an Italian “peplum” film. Mr. Reeves bestrides the world like a colossus! With Sylva Koscina. The poster has a re-release snipe at the bottom which can be easily removed through conservation methods. This is, however, the original year-of-issue poster. There is a small chip out of the upper right hand border and a small tear that has been repaired with archival tissue. Condition is therefore graded as fine plus.

Original Governor Films One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Giacomo Gentilomo sci-fi fantasy, HERCULES AGAINST THE MOON MEN (1964) starring Sergio Ciani, Jany Clair, and Anna Maria Polani. This film chronicles the story of Hercules (Ciani), who is summoned to oppose the evil Queen Samara (Clair), who has allied herself with aliens and is sacrificing her own people in her bid to conquer the world and become the most powerful woman alive. Though lacking the spectacular special effects of today, the film is still a fun and colorful action movie. This original one sheet poster is folded and in fine plus condition, with only minor wrinkling and fold distresses.

Original 20th Century-Fox Roadshow SIx Sheet Poster (81×81) for the Joseph L. Mankiewicz historical epic, CLEOPATRA (1963) starring Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, and Rex Harrison. Originally this film was supposed to be two three hour movies—the first dealing with Caesar and Cleopatra and the second with Antony and Cleopatra. But Fox, reeling from the exorbitant cost overruns associated with this budgetary debacle, decided to release one four hour movie instead. Elizabeth Taylor’s original contract stipulated that she was to be paid $1 million. But after a lengthy $50 million lawsuit brought by the studio against Burton and Taylor and then a countersuit by Taylor, the studio finally settled with the actress for $7 million. The six sheet and the 24 sheet are arguably the best U.S. posters on this title. The Howard Terpning art was used worldwide for the CLEOPATRA advertising campaign. This original Todd-AO marked Roadshow six sheet poster is in very fine plus condition.
