THE PRIDE OF ST. LOUIS (1952) 14424
Original 20th Century Fox Six Sheet Poster (81×81). Very fine condition.
This is an original 20th Century Fox Six Sheet Poster (81x81) for the Harmon Jones sport biography, THE PRIDE OF ST. LOUIS (1952)—starring Dan Dailey, Joanne Dru, and Richard Hylton. This film is the story of Jerome “Dizzy” Dean, a major-league baseball pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs in the 1930’s and 1940’s. Dan Dailey successfully captures the colorful personality of Dizzy Dean, the son of a sharecropper with little education. When a foot injury lead to his eventual decline as a star player, Dean learned how to make his zany charm work for him in a new career as baseball radio commentator. This original six sheet poster is in very fine condition.
THE PRIDE OF ST. LOUIS (1952) 12761
Original Twentieth Century Fox One Sheet (27 x 41). Very fine condition.
This is one of the prettier baseball-related U.S. film posters. It doesn't hurt that the film is an entertaining biopic of the great player and sports broadcaster Dizzy Dean. The screenplay, adapted from a story by Guy Trosper, was written by Herman J. Mankiewicz, more well known for writing the screenplay for Orson Welles' CITIZEN KANE. One of the best baseball films ever. Dan Dailey is shown as pitcher on the poster in his St. Louis Cardinals uniform and also as the sportscaster who became a legend in the world of TV. This is a film which is fun for the whole family. Such a sunny poster would look great anywhere.
THE PLEASURE SEEKERS (1965) 5451
Original 20th Century Fox One Sheet Poster (27×41). Folded. Fine plus condition.
Original 20th Century Fox One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Jean Negulesco musical comedy, THE PLEASURE SEEKERS (1965)—starring Ann-Margret, Anthony Franciosa, Carol Lynley, and Pamela Tiffin. This is the story of three American beauties (Ann-Margret, Lynley, and Tiffin) who room together in Madrid and manage to all get themselves into unhappy relationships. This film belongs to a long tradition of movies with three single women in the leads seeking a husband. This original one sheet poster is folded and in fine plus condition, with some minor fold separations.
THE OMEN (1976) 12327
Original 20th Century Fox Style F Insert Poster (14×36). Folded. Very good condition.
Original 20th Century Fox Style F Insert Poster (14x36) for the Richard Donner horror classic, THE OMEN (1976)—starring Gregory Peck, Lee Remick, David Warner, and Harvey Stephens. Certainly one of the best horror movies of all time, this film tells the story of an American ambassador (Peck) who discovers that his son is the literal Anti-Christ. Remick is perfect for the part of the mother who slowly comes to realize that something is wrong with her son. Gregory Peck easily portrays the noble and principled father. One of the best aspects of the film is the incredible musical score of Jerry Goldsmith, for which he won the Academy Award. It is wonderfully gloomy, disturbing, chilling music interlaced with choirs portending the end of the world. This original style F insert poster is folded and in very good condition, with some minor fold distresses and flaws.
THE MAN FROM SNOWY RIVER (1982) 6500
Original 20th Century Fox One Sheet Poster (27×41). Very fine plus, folded.
Original 20th Century Fox One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the George Miller Australian adventure western, THE MAN FROM SNOWY RIVER (1982)—starring Tom Burlinson, Terence Donovan, Kirk Douglas, and Tommy Dysart. The film was based on an original epic poem written in 1890 by A. B. “Banjo” Paterson, who also wrote the classic song, “Waltzing Matilda.” This film is particularly popular with horse lovers and aficionados of Australian literature and history. The action sequences feature some of the most daring and skilled horsemanship ever photographed. The film is visually stunning with breathtaking cinematography of the Australian high country, perfectly accented by a wonderful musical score by Bruce Rowland. This one sheet is a nice example, folded, in very fine plus condition.
THE LITTLE SHEPHERD OF KINGDOM COME (1961) 2239

Original 20th Century Fox One Sheet Poster for the Andrew V. McLaglen civil war drama, THE LITTLE SHEPHERD OF KINGDOM COME (1961)—starring Jimmie Rodgers, Luana Patten, Chill Wills, and Linda Hutchings. Original 20th Century Fox Colo-gloss Scene Lobby Card (11×15). Very fine to Near mint condition.
Original 20th Century Fox Colo-gloss Scene Lobby Card (11x15) for the John M. Stahl war drama, IMMORTAL SERGEANT (1943)—starring Henry Fonda, Maureen O’Hara, and Thomas Mitchell. Darryl Zanuck, head of 20th Century Fox, begged Fonda to make this war propaganda film because he thought it would rally the home front and also be an inspiration to the fighting troops. In his memoirs, Fonda admitted hating this film about all others in his career. This original scene card is in very fine to near mint condition.
THE ICE STORM (1997) 19790
Original 20th Century Fox One Sheet Poster (27×41). Rolled. Very fine condition.
This is an original 20th Century Fox One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the superb Ang Lee family drama, THE ICE STORM (1997)—starring Kevin Kline, Joan Allen, and Sigourney Weaver. Set in an upscale Connecticut suburb in 1973, this excellent film focuses on two families, the Hoods and the Cravers. These two families are quickly slipping into an existentialist void, where social taboos are shattered on whims and the line between adult authority and juvenile irresponsibility is blurred. The film chronicles a brief period of rapid moral deterioration—including adultery, sexual experimentation, drug use, and petty crimes. THE ICE STORM is an incredibly powerful and relevant ensemble piece about the complexity of family and relationships. This original rolled one sheet poster is in very fine condition.
