Joseph L. Mankiewicz directed this brilliant little film the year after he won two Oscars for the immortal ALL ABOUT EVE. Cary Grant plays Dr. Noah Praetorius, a doctor who believes that a healthy and balanced mind can cure a person's ills as well or better than handfuls of pills. He believes in treating his patients as well as their diseases. This gets him into some considerable trouble with his colleagues at the clinic. Add a bit of love interest in the person of the lovely Jeanne Crain and you have this sparkling witty comedy. The movie was based on a German play by Curt Goetz, "Dr. Praetorius." And a sophisticated film it is, too, with one of Grant's best and really least appreciated performances. Thanks be to God for Joe Mankiewicz! This insert poster is in very fine condition.
