Lamarr plays an Austrian refugee who has overstayed her visitor’s visa, and immigration officials want to send her back to her now Nazi homeland. But she realizes that she can stay if she can get married within a week, and she proposes a “marriage of convenience” to struggling writer Stewart. Besides expert direction by Brown—the film also has a charming screenplay, an engaging supporting cast, an excellent music score by Herbert Stothart, and beautiful b&w cinematography by George Folsey. Shot in 1950 in 1950 the magnificent black and white photography has many breathtaking shots of real Vatican celebrations. This film got the old fashioned MGM treatment from director Clarence Brown. This original one sheet poster is folded and in fine plus condition.
