Based on the Conrad Richter novel, this film is the story of a young white male who was abducted from his Pennsylvannia home when he was four and spent his whole life raised by a Native American tribe. But now the terms of a new peace treaty with the British require all white captives must be returned to their true families. Now, alienated and sullen, this unhappy young man must learn to live with the people he was taught to hate. This original three sheet poster in very fine condition.

Some critics consider this series of fanciful stories built around seven pieces of classical music to be not only the best animated film ever made but also one of the greatest films period. Indeed, the film won the Academy Awards for Best Musical Score to Alan Menken and Best Original Song (“Under the Sea”) to Menken and Howard Ashman. This authentic rolled double-sided one sheet poster is for the re-release of the film in 1997 and is in very fine condition.

This is an original New York Graphic Society print (11.5x13.5) of scenes from the David Hand animation masterpiece for Walt Disney Productions, BAMBI (1942). BAMBI has played and continues to play a key role in shaping American attitudes about deer and woodland life. The film is the single most successful and enduring statement in American pop culture against hunting. The greatest emotional impact in the film is the death of Bambi's mother, who is shot by hunters off screen. Children are generally overwhelmed with grief for the seemingly senseless killing of the mother and realize that Bambi is left a virtual orphan without his principal caregiver. Although the film did not recover its production expenses in its first run, subsequent releases made the film one of the most successful animation features of all time. This original print, entitled "Forest secrets, told by Thumper to Bambi" is in very fine condition. Please note that while not an actual film poster but rather a print from the New York Graphic Society dating from the period of the film's original release, this beautiful little print rivals anything I have seen for this film.

This is certainly one of the best family adventure films of all time about a settler family who are shipwrecked on a desert island. Disney bought up the rights to the 1940 RKO version of the film and then confiscated all of the prints so no comparisons could be made with the new Disney version. The film grossed over $40 million, making it one of the most successful family films ever made. This original half sheet poster is rolled and in fine plus condition. It has some micro-tears in the bottom border and spots in the upper left hand corner.
