This is an original MGM Lobby Card (11x14) for the Clarence Brown romantic comedy, COME LIVE WITH ME (1941)—starring James Stewart and Hedy Lamarr. The film title comes from the first line of a sonnet by Christopher Marlowe. Lamarr plays an Austrian refugee who has overstayed her visitor’s visa, and immigration officials want to send her back to her now Nazi homeland. But she realizes that she can stay if she can get married within a week, and she proposes a “marriage of convenience” to struggling writer Stewart. Besides expert direction by Brown—the film also has a charming screenplay, an engaging supporting cast, an excellent music score by Herbert Stothart, and beautiful b&w cinematography by George Folsey. Very fine condition with only some pinholes (mostly on corners), minor edge wear, and minor surface wear.

This is an original Warner Bros. One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Jean Negulesco war drama, THE CONSPIRATORS (1944)—starring Hedy Lamarr, Paul Henreid, Sydney Greenstreet, and Peter Lorre. Three of the CASABLANCA stars (Henreid, Greenstreet, and Lorre) return with Lamarr in this wartime story about a Dutch freedom fighter who is having trouble in neutral Lisbon figuring out who are his friends and who are his enemies. Henreid also falls under the spell of the incredibly beautiful Lamarr who guards her secrets carefully. The film was not well received, but this poster is classic Warner Bros. design. This original one sheet poster is linen-backed and in fine condition.
