Original 20th Century Fox Style B One Sheet Poster (27×41). Folded. Fine condition with only some minor distresses and small tear at the fold lines and one small piece of tape on the bottom border.
This is an original 20th Century Fox Style B One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Mel Brooks classic parody of early Universal horror-sci-fi films, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN (1974)—starring Gene Wilder, Peter Boyle, Marty Friedman, Madeline Kahn, Cloris Leachman, and Teri Garr. Dr. Frankenstein’s grandson (Wilder), after years of living down the family heritage, inherits his grandfather’s castle and his record of his experiments into reanimation. Brooks wanted everything to look just like the original James Whale version; so, he used similar sets, black-and-white photography, and similar music to the original film. All of the cast are absolutely wonderful, especially Madeline Kahn who gives a bravura performance as the doctor’s fiancée. This original style B one sheet poster is folded and in fine condition with only some minor distresses and small tear at the fold lines and one small piece of tape on the bottom border.

This is the tale of a tarantula, which is injected with a special nutrient formula and then escapes from the scientist’s laboratory. It then grows into a 100-foot monster that attacks cattle as well as humans. It was one of the most popular of the “insect-gone-rampant” films of the 1950’s. There is even a small supporting role for the young Clint Eastwood as a jet squadron leader assigned to drop napalm on the spider to burn it to death. This original title lobby card is in very fine plus condition with only a few minor bends and creases and a light dust shadow in the top border. Art by Reynold Brown.
THE ASTOUNDING SHE MONSTER (1958) 20024
Original American International Pictures 40×60 Poster. Linen-backed. Very fine minus condition.
Original American International Pictures 40x60 Poster for the Ronald V. Ashcroft sci-fi film noir, THE ASTOUNDING SHE MONSTER (1958)—starring Robert Clarke, Kenne Duncan, and Marilyn Harvey. This story revolves around two aging mobsters and their gin-soaked moll who kidnap a Beverly Hills socialite. Through a series of misadventures, the four end up in a remote geologist’s cabin stalked by a beautiful but deadly “she monster” in a skin-tight cat suit. This was Ashcroft’s first directorial effort, and he was so overwhelmed that he asked Ed Wood to act as a consultant. The result was a film that one critic wagged, “It’s so horrible, it’s awesome.” Professional restoration has corrected edge wear with some creasing and a surface tear on the right side of the image area. This original three sheet poster is linen-backed and in very fine minus condition.
