OCEANS 11 (1960) 12484
Original Warner Bros. Window Card (14×22). Good condition.
Original Warner Bros. Window Card (14x22) for the Lewis Milestone crime comedy, OCEAN’S 11 (1960)—starring Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Peter Lawford, Joey Bishop, and Sammy Davis Jr. The plot of this film revolves around eleven friends who know each other from World War II service and plan to rob five of the biggest casinos in Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve. This film is an interesting glimpse into the Rat Pack era—the era of ultimate coolness with the clubs, the Marilyn Monroe look a likes, flashy clothes, and lots (and lots) of money. Of course, there is also the legendary bad treatment of women and African-Americans. This original window card with a handwritten venue is in good condition, with extra horizontal fold lines.
NORTH BY NORTHWEST (1959) 14934
Original MGM 30×40 Poster. Mounted to stiff board. Fine plus condition.
This is a rare 30x40 poster for the Alfred Hitchcock masterpiece NORTH BY NORTHWEST (1959), starring Cary Grant, Eva Marie Saint, Leo G. Carroll, James Mason, and Martin Landau. One of the most famous of Hitchcock's films of the 1950s, NORTH BY NORTHWEST is endlessly entertaining. Quoting from THE MOTION PICTURE GUIDE: "One of Hitchcock's best, NORTH BY NORTHWEST has everything - thrills, suspense, intrigue, mystery, humor and no little comedy, black as a coal pit, of course, in keeping with the darkly whimsical perspective of that pantheon director. Grant, Saint, Mason and Carroll are simply marvelous in their intricate roles, and, aside from Grant, it's hard to tell whether they're good or bad until the film has dragged the viewer feet-first into the complex plot. Peril of the common man or not-so-common man is always at the apex of any Hitchcock tale and this film is no exception." This is one of the trickiest of Hitchcock films and his last film with Cary Grant. The famous finale on Mount Rushmore and the crop duster buzzing Cary Grant are among the most famous Hitchcock screen moments. The film was produced by Ernest Lehman and has an unforgettable score by Bernard Herrmann. We are giving this poster a Fine Plus rating only because it is mounted to a board. It presents beautifully as is, but MovieArt will pay to have the poster removed and paperbacked if the customer desires. Better and more desired than the one sheet which is only printed in duotone. And much scarcer.
MY DARLING CLEMENTINE (1946) 14902
Original 20th Century Fox Six Sheet Poster (81×81). Stone lithograph. Linen-backed. Near mint condition.
This is an original 20th Century Fox Six Sheet Poster (81x81) for the John Ford western masterpiece, MY DARLING CLEMENTINE (1946)—starring Henry Fonda, Linda Darnell, Victor Mature, and Cathy Downs. Adapted from Stuart Lake’s book “Wyatt Earp, Frontier Marshal,” the film tells the story of Wyatt Earp and his brothers who decide in 1882 to settle in Tombstone after their cattle are rustled and their younger brother James is killed. Earp who had already served as a marshal gladly accepts the position in Tombstone along with brothers as deputies. Marshal Earp has several run-ins with Ike Clanton and his sons. When Earp is forced to kill Billy Clanton, it leads to the famous shoot-out at the OK Corral. Some critics have dubbed this film the finest western ever made, and certainly the film represents a high point in the careers of all involved. Ford’s excellent direction creates a perfect blend of drama, action, romance, and occasional comic relief. This original stone lithograph six sheet poster is linen-backed and in near mint condition.
MUTINY ON THE BOUNTY (1935) 16953
Original MGM Insert Poster (14×36). Good condition.
Original MGM Insert Poster (14x36) for the Frank Lloyd adventure drama classic, MUTINY ON THE BOUNTY (1935)—starring Charles Laughton, Clark Gable, and Franchot Tone. This is the true story of Fletcher Christian (Gable), who successfully leads a revolt against the ruthless Captain William Bligh (Laughton), only to have Bligh return a year later to avenge the mutiny. Every thing about this film is superlative: the acting, direction, cinematography, music, sets, and locations. The acting was so good that all three leading actors (Laughton, Gable, and Tone) were all nominated for Best Actor. This is the only film in history to garner three Best Actor nominations; thus, the Academy had to create new Best Supporting Actor and Actress categories. The film won the Best Picture Oscar. This original insert poster is in good condition.

Original Cannon Films One Sheet Poster (27×41). Very fine condition.

MEXICALI ROSE (1939) 17370
Original Republic Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41). Linen-backed. Very fine condition.
Original Republic Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the George Sherman “singing” western, MEXICALI ROSE (1939)—starring Gene Autry, Smiley Burnette, Noah Beery, and Luana Walters. The title is the hit song from Autry’s ROOTIN’ TOOTIN’ RHYTHM (1937), which was so popular that Republic decided to do an entire feature film based on the song. This film turned out to be one of Autry’s best performances with non-stop action and great singing. Besides the title song, Gene also croons two other popular crowd-pleasers—“El Rancho Grande” and perhaps his most memorable song, “You’re the Only Star in My Blue Heaven.” This original one sheet poster is linen-backed and in very fine condition.

Steve McQueen plays the Grand Prix driver who passionately proclaims, “When you’re racing—it’s life.” McQueen was an experienced driver and actually does all of his own driving in the racing sequences. This original one sheet poster is in very fine condition.

Original Columbia Pictures Roadshow Poster (40×60). Linen-backed. Very Fine.
This is an original Columbia Pictures 40x60 Roadshow Poster for the David Lean war epic, LAWRENCE OF ARABIA—starring Peter O’Toole, Alec Guiness, and Omar Sharif. This film is the unforgettable biography of the flamboyant and controversial British military officer and his conflicted loyalties. The sweeping desert vistas totally immerse the viewer, and the battle scenes are among the most realistic of the era. It was nominated for 10 Academy Awards and won seven—including Best Picture, Best Director for Lean, Best Music for Jarre, and Best Color Cinematography for Young. This original 40x60 Roadshow poster is linen-backed and in very fine condition. While all Roadshow LAWRENCE posters are coveted, the 40x60 with the Howard Terpning art is extremely rare.
