This is an original 20th Century Fox Style D One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the sci-fi epic, STAR WARS, written and directed by George Lucas and starring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Alec Guinness. This Style D poster was made for the summer re-release in 1978 with artwork by Drew Struzan and Richard White III. While many fans consider this film to be the greatest cinematic epic of all time, it is certainly one of the best sci-fi movies. The special effects are supremely creative and awesome for 1977. The casting is also great, the screenplay and direction are superb, and the score by John Williams is iconic. The picture won seven Academy Awards and was nominated for four more—including Best Picture, Best Screenplay and Best Direction for Lucas, and Best Supporting Actor for Guinness as the truly memorable Obi-Wan Kenobi.
