Original International Releasing One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Ken Annakin epic adventure, THE CALL OF THE WILD (1972) starring Charlton Heston, Michele Mercier, and Buck (the dog). Based on the popular novel by Jack London, this is the emotional story, set in the 19th century, of a German Shepherd (Buck) who is abducted from California and taken to the Alaskan wilderness. There he meets his new owner (Heston) with whom the dog becomes very close. Besides Annakin's masterful realization of London's vision, the haunting score by Carlo Rustichelli greatly enhances the emotional punch of the film. This one sheet poster was originally folded and in very fine condition.
