THE RAVEN (1963) 7420
Original American International Pictures Six Sheet Poster (81×81). Near mint.
This is an original American International Pictures Six Sheet Poster (81x81) for the Roger Corman comedy/horror classic, THE RAVEN (1963)—starring horror all-stars Vincent Price, Peter Lorre, and Boris Karloff. This film is a follow up to the earlier Corman/Poe box office success--TALES OF TERROR (1962). And like the earlier film, this witty screenplay is also written by Richard Matheson and based on the work of Edgar Allan Poe. However, the script has almost nothing to do with Poe’s famous poem. The film has excellent and stylized direction by Corman, remarkable sets by Daniel Haller, colorful costumes, and great special effects for the time. This original six sheet poster is in four panels (shown here assembled) and is in near mint condition.
THE OBLONG BOX (1969) M10005
Original American International Pictures Half Sheet Poster (22×28). Fine condition.
This is an original American International Pictures Half Sheet Poster (22x28) for the Gordon Hessler horror classic, THE OBLONG BOX (1969)—starring Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, and Alister Williamson. This was the first on-screen teaming of horror icons Price and Lee. The screenplay based on a story by Edgar Allan Poe is about a man (Williamson) who is kept locked in his room by his brother (Price). He has been horribly disfigured during an African voodoo ceremony, and , as a result, has gone completely mad. After faking his death, he seeks revenge on those he feels are responsible for his condition. The film was besieged by a number of production problems. Screenwriter Lawrence Huntington died shortly after completing the script. Also, Gordon Hessler replaced the original director Michael Reeves because of his dependence on drugs and suicidal tendencies. Reeves actually did commit suicide in February of 1969 during the pre-production of the film. This half sheet is folded and in fine condition; fold lines are apparent as in the photograph.
THE ASTOUNDING SHE MONSTER (1958) 20024
Original American International Pictures 40×60 Poster. Linen-backed. Very fine minus condition.
Original American International Pictures 40x60 Poster for the Ronald V. Ashcroft sci-fi film noir, THE ASTOUNDING SHE MONSTER (1958)—starring Robert Clarke, Kenne Duncan, and Marilyn Harvey. This story revolves around two aging mobsters and their gin-soaked moll who kidnap a Beverly Hills socialite. Through a series of misadventures, the four end up in a remote geologist’s cabin stalked by a beautiful but deadly “she monster” in a skin-tight cat suit. This was Ashcroft’s first directorial effort, and he was so overwhelmed that he asked Ed Wood to act as a consultant. The result was a film that one critic wagged, “It’s so horrible, it’s awesome.” Professional restoration has corrected edge wear with some creasing and a surface tear on the right side of the image area. This original three sheet poster is linen-backed and in very fine minus condition.
THE ABOMINABLE DR. PHIBES (1971) 1871

Horror all-star Price gives one of his best performances; indeed, the role rejuvenated his career in the 1970s. This original one sheet poster is folded and in fine plus condition. Original American International Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41). Fine plus condition.
Original American International Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Edward L. Cahn musical comedy, SHAKE, RATTLE AND ROCK (1956)-- starring Mike Connors, Lisa Gaye, and Sterling Holloway. Rock 'n' Roll music triumphs over uptight grownups in this 1956 film about disc jockeys, doo-wop, juvenile delinquency, and bop. The film is populated with rock 'n' roll performers of the era, including Fats Domino and the immortal Joe Turner. The quintessential fifties character-actor nerd, Sterling Holloway, makes an appearance and even the Marx Brothers' old foil Margaret Dumont is included. PIT AND THE PENDULUM (1961) M10010
Original American International Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41).
This is an original American International Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Roger Corman Gothic horror classic, PIT AND THE PENDULUM (1961)—starring Vincent Price, John Kerr, and Barbara Steele. Artfully adapted from the Edgar Allan Poe story by Richard Matheson, this was the second in Corman’s cycle of Poe stories and is considered by many critics to be his best horror film. Delightfully lurid and lavish, this film incorporates both dazzling color and abhorrent darkness to keep the mood and atmosphere suspenseful and threatening. The real star of the film is the pendulum, which was razor sharp. To increase the pendulum’s sense of deadly menace, Corman took out every other frame during the editing stage to make the blade appear to move twice as fast.
