This is an original Orion Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Woody Allen comedy fantasy, ZELIG (1983)—starring Allen, Mia Farrow, and Patrick Hogan. This innovative film is a fictional documentary about the life of Leonard Zelig, a man who becomes famous in the 1920s for this ability look and act like whoever is around him. Not only is it a fake documentary (“mockumentary”), but it also sustains this format throughout the entire film. Allen used special lenses to create old style newsreels from the 1920s. He also used real photo stills from the period as well as mixing real footage with his own to give a compelling allusion of authenticity. Cinematographer Gordon Willis received an Academy Award nomination of his excellent work on this wildly original project. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very fine condition.

This is an original 20th Century Fox Style B One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Mel Brooks classic parody of early Universal horror-sci-fi films, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN (1974)—starring Gene Wilder, Peter Boyle, Marty Friedman, Madeline Kahn, Cloris Leachman, and Teri Garr. Dr. Frankenstein’s grandson (Wilder), after years of living down the family heritage, inherits his grandfather’s castle and his record of his experiments into reanimation. Brooks wanted everything to look just like the original James Whale version; so, he used similar sets, black-and-white photography, and similar music to the original film. All of the cast are absolutely wonderful, especially Madeline Kahn who gives a bravura performance as the doctor’s fiancée. This original style B one sheet poster is folded and in fine condition with only some minor distresses and small tear at the fold lines and one small piece of tape on the bottom border.

This is an original Universal Pictures Half Sheet Poster (22x28) for the George Marshall comedy classic, YOU CAN’T CHEAT AN HONEST MAN—starring W.C. Fields and Edgar Bergen. This hilarious film has Fields running a second rate circus and trying to stay one step ahead of the law and his creditors. Fields was a tremendous hit on the radio, especially on ventriloquist Edgar Bergen’s program, where he had a long running “feud” with Bergen’s “dummy” Charley McCarthy. The film is an attempt to capitalize on this feud, and gags and double takes by the scheming Fields fuels the romp. With torn paper collage caricature art by Jacques Kapralik, this original half sheet poster is in very fine condition. Extremely rare in any condition, this superb copy in very fine condition is one of the best film posters we currently own.

In this last pairing of Stanwyck and Fonda, he plays a bored and wealthy playboy who meets Dr. Helen Hunt (Stanwyck) at a ski resort. They get married, but she wants to continue her practice, which includes many handsome men of which Fonda is insanely jealous. This original scene card is in very good plus condition, with only one small hole (patched) and some tape on the reverse side.

Douglas plays a gambler who runs afoul of the law and evades serving his time by stealing priest Johnson’s identity. Shot in 1950 in 1950 the magnificent black and white photography has many breathtaking shots of real Vatican celebrations. This film got the old fashioned MGM treatment from director Clarence Brown. This original one sheet poster is folded and in fine plus condition.

This funny spoof on the space program has the Americans and the Russians with two-person bases on the moon. The all-male American astronauts keep going crazy; so, the Americans decide to send a married couple instead (Lewis and Stevens). The film is super-sexy for the time with ample adult-level innuendo and tease galore supplied by Anita Ekberg’s fabulous legs. This original insert poster is in very fine condition.
