Original Universal Pictures Three Sheet Poster (41.5x80.5) for the Henry Koster musical comedy, ONE HUNDRED MEN AND A GIRL (1937) starring Deanna Durbin, Leopold Stokowski, and Adolphe Menjou. This is the story of the daughter (Durbin) of a struggling musician (Menjou) who forms a symphony orchestra made up of unemployed musicians and through persistence and charm convinces Leopold Stokowski to conduct a concert that leads to a lucrative radio contract. The one hundred men in the title refers to the members of the Philadelphia Orchestra who recorded all of the classical music on a multi-channel sound system—the first time a multi-channel system was used to record music for a film. The film was nominated for five Academy Awards—including Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay. The film won the Oscar for Best Musical Score. This original offset lithograph three sheet poster is linen-backed and in fine condition.
