This is an original Orion Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Woody Allen comedy fantasy, ZELIG (1983)—starring Allen, Mia Farrow, and Patrick Hogan. This innovative film is a fictional documentary about the life of Leonard Zelig, a man who becomes famous in the 1920s for this ability look and act like whoever is around him. Not only is it a fake documentary (“mockumentary”), but it also sustains this format throughout the entire film. Allen used special lenses to create old style newsreels from the 1920s. He also used real photo stills from the period as well as mixing real footage with his own to give a compelling allusion of authenticity. Cinematographer Gordon Willis received an Academy Award nomination of his excellent work on this wildly original project. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very fine condition.

Original Barton/Horizon Films Pressbook (17x11) for the Don Barton sci-fi cult classic, ZAAT (1975)—starring Marshall Grauer, Wade Popwell, Paul Galloway, and Gerald Cruse. This totally unbelievable plot involves a mad scientist (Grauer) who transforms himself into an amphibious sea creature (think large walking catfish) to gain revenge on those who have spurned him. Finally, he kidnaps nubile young women to similarly transform so he can mate and produce a race of super beings who will rule the world. Though roundly disparaged by critics as “terrible,” this film gained cult status and still enjoys some small degree of popularity today. Except for Paul Galloway (who had one more bit part before receding into oblivion), this is the only film the cast ever appeared in as well as most of the crew. This original pressbook is four pages with two heralds and is in very fine condition.

In a meeting of fantasy film and classic literature, this film is the story of the adolescent Holmes who is already known for his amazing deductive ability. The young Holmes (Rowe) and the young Watson (Cox) attempt to solve the mystery that involves a hallucinatory and lethal drug that also involves a religious cult celebrating ancient Egyptian rites of mummification. The film is fast-paced, fantastical, and great fun with clever dialogue and a touch of humor. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very fine condition.

Kira (Newton-John) a Greek muse incarnated as a girl attempts to inspire an artist named Sonny (Beck) with the help of Danny (Kelly), a man Kira inspired forty years earlier. American copywriter and publicist John J. B. Wilson decided to formalize his Golden Raspberry Awards (Razzies) after watching a double feature of CAN’T STOP THE MUSIC (1980) and XANADU. The film received 6 Razzie nominations, including Worst Picture, Worst Screenplay, Worst Original Song,Worst Actor for Beck, and Worst Actress for Newton-John. Robert Greewald won the Razzie for Worst Director. With good color and no fold separations, this original one sheet poster is folded and in very fine plus condition.

This is an original Urban Vision Entertainment One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Yoshiaki Kawajiri and Jack Fletcher Japanese anime classic, VAMPIRE HUNTER D: BLOODLUST (2000)—starring the voices of Hideyuki Tanaka, Ichiro Nagai, and Koichi Yamadera. This style of animation is very detailed and precise, and the film also has incredible music by Marco D’Ambrosio and beautiful cinematography by Hitoshi Yamaguchi. This original double-sided one sheet poster is rolled and in near mint condition.

This film is the story of a cowboy toy who becomes jealous and profoundly threatened when a new spaceman toy supplants him as the top toy. The plot is simple but effective, creating genuine drama and excitement. The film was nominated for three Academy Awards—including Best Screenplay, Best Musical Score for Randy Newman, and Best Original Song (“You’ve Got a Friend” also for Newman). John Lasseter was given a Special Achievement Award for creating the first feature-length computer-animated film. This original rolled one sheet poster is double-sided and in near mint condition.

This is an original Kino International 1978 Re-release One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Ludwig Berger, Michael Powell, and Tim Whelan classic family fantasy, THE THIEF OF BAGDAD (1940)—starring Conrad Veidt, Sabu, June Duprez, and John Justin. Produced by the legendary Alexander Korda, this exceptional British film has been described as one of the best fantasy films of all time. Raoul Walsh originally brought this story to the silent screen in 1924 starring Douglas Fairbanks, but this version was in glorious Technicolor with some of the most outstanding special effects of the time. Indeed, the film won the Academy Award for Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, and Best Special Effects. This truly magical film still entertains audiences today—young and old. This 1978 re-release poster is the work of artist Bruce Emmett who is known for his ability to produce new illustrations with a vintage feel. This rerelease one sheet poster is in very fine condition.

Based on a novel by Ira Levin (who also wrote Rosemary’s Baby), this film tells the story of Joanna (Ross), who moves with her family to the quaint little town of Stepford, Connecticut. She soon discovers the sinister truth about the all too perfect behavior of the female residents. Originally folded, this one sheet poster is in fine condition with only some minor wrinkling in the border area.
