This is an original Columbia Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Richard Quine adventure comedy, SIREN OF BAGDAD (1953)—starring Paul Henreid, Patricia Medina, and Hans Conried. Magician Kazah the Great (Henreid) heads a troupe of dancing girls and acrobats traveling in Arabia. When some of the dancing girls are kidnapped, Kazah joins forces with Princess Zendi (Medina) to get the girls back and rid Bagdad of the evil sultan. The film boasts beautiful costumes and wonderful sets, and both the dancing acts and magic tricks are great fun. This original one sheet poster is folded and in fine condition with only some minor fold line separations.
SANTA CLAUS CONQUERS THE MARTIANS (1964) 19083
Original Embassy Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41). Very Fine.
This is an original Embassy Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the hilarious sci-fi Christmas fantasy, SANTA CLAUS CONQUERS THE MARTIANS (1964)-- directed by Nicholas Webster and starring John Call, Leonard Hicks, and Vincent Beck. This amateurish, low-budget kids movie is generally considered to be one of the worst films ever made. Santa is kidnapped by distraught Martians with bad green makeup, dishwasher parts glued to their heads, and cheesy capes. The Martians are attempting to rescue their depressive and antisocial children by giving them toys. While the Martians were utterly ridiculous to adults, they unintentionally frightened many of the children in the audience. The film ends with pseudo-rousing “Hooray for Santa Claus” complete with subtitles that encourage the audience to sing along. Not many did. This original one sheet poster is in very fine condition with only tiny distresses at the fold intersections but with no separations at the fold lines.
RIGET (1994) 19798
Original October Films One Sheet Poster (27×41). Rolled. Very fine plus condition.
This is an original October Films One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Lars von Trier Danish TV mini-series, RIGET (1994)—starring Udo Kier, Ernst-Hugo Jaregard, and Kirsten Rolffes. Released in the U.S. under the title, THE KINGDOM, this bizarre series takes place in the most technologically advanced hospital in Denmark. However, a rash of uncanny occurrences has the staff questioning their faith in science. Trier, often compared with the American director David Lynch, founded the modern Danish “dogma” style with its grainy colors, rash use of camera movement and editing, and quirky acting styles. This original rolled one sheet poster is in very fine plus condition.
RETURN OF THE JEDI (1983) 1678B
Original 20th Century Fox Style B One Sheet Poster (27×41). Rolled. Very good condition with only some damage in the white border area at the top and bottom.
This is an original 20th Century Fox Style B One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Richard Marquant sci-fi fantasy thriller, RETURN OF THE JEDI (1983)—starring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Billy Dee Williams. This film is the final segment of the original trilogy that included STAR WARS and THE EMPIRE STIKES BACK, and originally the working title of the film was REVENGE OF THE JEDI. It is the most spectacular of the original three films because by this time George Lucas and his cohorts at the Industrial Light and Magic Company had truly perfected their special effects craft. Sensational effects include floating barges, incredible creatures, airborne cycles, death ray machines, and light sabers. We also see the progression of the character of Luke Skywalker from whinny teenager to impatient student to enlightened warrior. Luke also reaches a final reconciliation with his father Darth Vader. This original style B one sheet poster is rolled and in very good condition with only some damage in the white border area at the top and bottom.
RETURN OF THE JEDI (1983) 16339
Original 20th Century Fox 2nd Advance one sheet (27×41) later recalled. Near Mint.
This is an original 20th Century Fox 1982 2nd Advance Poster (27x41) for Richard Marquand sci-fi epic, STAR WARS: EPISODE VI--RETURN OF THE JEDI (1983)—starring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Billy Dee Williams. This film is the final segment of the original trilogy that included STAR WARS and THE EMPIRE STIKES BACK, and originally the working title of the film was REVENGE OF THE JEDI. The first advance poster did not have release date at the bottom of the poster, but this second advance poster did have the release date. When it was decided to change the name, both advance posters were recalled, and supposedly fewer than a 1000 of these posters were not returned. By the time of its production, George Lucas and his cohorts at the Industrial Light and Magic Company had truly perfected their special effects craft. Sensational effects include floating barges, incredible creatures, airborne cycles, death ray machines, and light sabers. We see the progression of the character of Luke Skywalker from whinny teenager to impatient student to enlightened warrior. Luke also reaches a final reconciliation with his father Darth Vader. This rare, recalled advance poster is in near mint condition.

PETER PAN (1953) M10012
Original Walt Disney Productions Six Sheet Poster (81×81). Linen-backed. Very fine condition.
This is an original Walt Disney Productions Six Sheet Poster (81x81) for the Clyde Geronimi and Wilfred Jackson animated classic, PETER PAN (1953)—starring the voices of Bobby Driscoll, Kathryn Beaumont, and Hans Conreid. Based the immortal play by Sir James Barrie, this film is one of the best Disney movies of all time and certainly one of the iconic films of the Baby Boom Generation. The Disney version of the story is light and breezy and moves at a quick pace. When Peter, Wendy, and her two brothers leap out of the nursery window and fly over Edwardian London at night, the audience is treated to some of the most charming animation ever created for film. Later parts of the movie are equally enchanting, and the villainous Captain Hook is brought to great comic life by the Disney animators and the marvelous vocal talent of Conreid. A delightful score and a bouquet of delightful songs bring the story to life. This original six sheet poster is linen-backed and in very fine condition.
