ZAAT (1975)
Original Barton/Horizon Films Pressbook (17×11). Very fine condition.
Original Barton/Horizon Films Pressbook (17x11) for the Don Barton sci-fi cult classic, ZAAT (1975)—starring Marshall Grauer, Wade Popwell, Paul Galloway, and Gerald Cruse. This totally unbelievable plot involves a mad scientist (Grauer) who transforms himself into an amphibious sea creature (think large walking catfish) to gain revenge on those who have spurned him. Finally, he kidnaps nubile young women to similarly transform so he can mate and produce a race of super beings who will rule the world. Though roundly disparaged by critics as “terrible,” this film gained cult status and still enjoys some small degree of popularity today. Except for Paul Galloway (who had one more bit part before receding into oblivion), this is the only film the cast ever appeared in as well as most of the crew. This original pressbook is four pages with two heralds and is in very fine condition.
YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN (1974) 3079
Original 20th Century Fox Style B One Sheet Poster (27×41). Folded. Fine condition with only some minor distresses and small tear at the fold lines and one small piece of tape on the bottom border.
This is an original 20th Century Fox Style B One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Mel Brooks classic parody of early Universal horror-sci-fi films, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN (1974)—starring Gene Wilder, Peter Boyle, Marty Friedman, Madeline Kahn, Cloris Leachman, and Teri Garr. Dr. Frankenstein’s grandson (Wilder), after years of living down the family heritage, inherits his grandfather’s castle and his record of his experiments into reanimation. Brooks wanted everything to look just like the original James Whale version; so, he used similar sets, black-and-white photography, and similar music to the original film. All of the cast are absolutely wonderful, especially Madeline Kahn who gives a bravura performance as the doctor’s fiancée. This original style B one sheet poster is folded and in fine condition with only some minor distresses and small tear at the fold lines and one small piece of tape on the bottom border.
WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE (1962) 5886
Original Warner Bros. Three Sheet Poster (41×81). Very fine plus condition. Unbacked, on two panels.
This is an original Warner Bros. Three Sheet Poster (41x81) for the Robert Aldrich psycho-thriller, WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE? (1962)—starring Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, and Victor Buono. The film chronicles the lives of two aging screen actresses who live as virtual recluses in an old Hollywood mansion. Jane (Davis), a popular child star, "cares" for her crippled sister Blanche (Crawford), whose career in later years eclipsed that of Jane. The film was a riveting psychological study, cast with astonishing actors, and magnificently directed and photographed. The film was nominated for five Academy Awards—including Best Actress for Davis and Best Supporting Actor for Buono. Over the years, because of the real life rivalry between the two superstars and the grand guignol execution of the story, BABY JANE has become a camp classic if not a revered horror film. This original three sheet poster is in very fine plus condition. Printed on two separate panels. This is a big poster. Ask us about linen backing.
VOODOO MAN (1944) 19647
Original Monogram Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41). Linen-backed. Fine plus condition.
This is an original Monogram Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the William Beaudine horror classic, VOODOO MAN (1944)—starring Bela Lugosi and John Carradine. This is the story of Dr. Richard Marlowe (Lugosi) who uses a combination of voodoo rite and hypnotic suggestion to attempt to revivify his beautiful, but long-dead wife by transferring the life essences of several hapless young girls he has kidnapped and imprisoned in the dungeon beneath his mansion. This was the second Monogram film for Lugosi, and many critics consider this to be his best Monogram film. But while Lugosi delivers a uniformly good performance as the mad doctor, it is John Carradine who steals the show as Lugosi’s dimwitted slave. This original one sheet poster is linen-backed and in fine plus condition.

This style of animation is very detailed and precise, and the film also has incredible music by Marco D’Ambrosio and beautiful cinematography by Hitoshi Yamaguchi. This original double-sided one sheet poster is rolled and in near mint condition.

Original Cine Artists Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Peter Sykes horror thriller, TO THE DEVIL A DAUGHTER (1976)—starring Richard Widmark, Christopher Lee, Honor Blackman, and Nastassja Kinski. In this British Hammer Productions horror classic, an American occult novelist (Widmark) battles to save the soul of a young girl (Kinski) from a group of Satanists, led by an excommunicated priest (Lee), who plan on using her as the representative of the Devil on earth. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very good condition, with only some minor pinholes but no fold separations.
THE WAR OF THE WORLDS (1953) 19952
Original Spanish Poster (28×39). Paper-backed. Very fine condition.
Original Spanish Poster (28x39) for the Byron Haskin sci-fi classic, THE WAR OF THE WORLDS (1953)—starring Gene Barry, Ann Robinson, and Les Tremeyne. One of the best sci-fi movies of the 1950s, this is the film adaptation of the H. G. Wells famous novel, already made famous by the radio broadcast of Orson Welles’ Mercury Theatre on Halloween evening, 1938. That program, which began with a series of news bulletins without commercial interruption, caused near panic among listeners who were convinced that an actual Martian invasion was in progress. This popular film version of the story was nominated for three Academy Awards and won the Oscar for Best Special Effects for the near perfect swan-like flying machines attacking earth. A superb poster for this title. This original Spanish poster is paper-backed with some touch-up to the fold lines and is in very fine condition. There is some damage to the paper backing in the border area as shown on the image. MovieArt will be happy to have this poster rebacked or the paper border repaired.
THE UNHOLY (1988) 10606
Original Vestron Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41). Very good condition with some edge distresses.
This is an original Vestron Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Camilo Vila horror film, THE UNHOLY (1988)—starring Ruben Rabasa, Nicole Fortier, and Peter Frechette. Diredtor Vila found the script years later, liked it, and asked if he could use it. The film underwent an extensive re-shoot to up the monster factor for the final act of the film. This original one sheet poster is in very good condition with some edge distresses.
