This is an original 20th Century Fox Style B One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Mel Brooks classic parody of early Universal horror-sci-fi films, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN (1974)—starring Gene Wilder, Peter Boyle, Marty Friedman, Madeline Kahn, Cloris Leachman, and Teri Garr. Dr. Frankenstein’s grandson (Wilder), after years of living down the family heritage, inherits his grandfather’s castle and his record of his experiments into reanimation. Brooks wanted everything to look just like the original James Whale version; so, he used similar sets, black-and-white photography, and similar music to the original film. All of the cast are absolutely wonderful, especially Madeline Kahn who gives a bravura performance as the doctor’s fiancée. This original style B one sheet poster is folded and in fine condition with only some minor distresses and small tear at the fold lines and one small piece of tape on the bottom border.

Perhaps no other film bears Streisand's imprint as much as this film. With extraordinary music by Michel Legrand, YENTL is a striking testament to Streisand's talent. This is an original Warner Bros. One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Michael Wadleigh iconic rock documentary, WOODSTOCK (1970). Considered by many critics to be the best music documentary of all time, others consider it to be one of the very best documentaries ever filmed on any subject. It is a very intimate look at the Woodstock Music and Art Festival held in Bethel, New York in 1969 and in a broader sense a record of the 1960’s “hippy” culture or, as they were often called, the "counterculture." Peace, love, and music were the themes of the day, and many of the performances are nothing short of amazing. Jimi Hendrix (complete with his frenzied version of “The Star Spangled Banner”), Country Joe and the Fish, Joan Baez, The Who, and Crosby, Stills, and Nash are just some of the legendary performers immortalized in this film. It deservedly won the Academy Award for Best Feature Documentary, as well as being nominated for Best Editing and Best Sound. This original one sheet poster is linen-backed and in very fine condition with some restoration repairing several small tears. Some minor smudging on linen lip.

Besides the excellent music footage, the camera reveals how popular Allen was in Europe during this period; indeed, these fans love and adore him. This is an original 20th Century Fox One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Mark Robson camp classic, VALLEY OF THE DOLLS (1967)—starring Barbara Parkins, Patty Duke, and Sharon Tate. Based on the scandalous, best-selling novel by Jacqueline Susann, this camp classic chronicles the rise and fall of three young women in show business. Although the film was listed in John Wilson’s “The Most Amusingly Bad Movies Ever Made,” it had some good qualities—including several musical numbers with beautiful arrangements by Andre Previn and John Williams and some good performances, especially from Parkins and Duke. Jacqueline Susann was a woman of the 40’s and 50’s, and her story fits that time and not the late 60s. VALLEY OF THE DOLLS is really a big-budget movie with great production values, but based on a cheesy quasi-pulp romance totally out of sync with the period in which it is set. This original one sheet poster is in fine plus condition.

During the war years, Gene Autry became the top money maker for Republic Pictures, and his popularity continued throughout the 1950s. Smiley Burnette is on hand again as Gene’s sidekick, Frog Millhouse, and we are introduced for the first time to Frog’s younger brother Tadpole—a miniature version of Smiley in almost every respect. Spinal Tap was the greatest Heavy Metal band that was ever made up. This hilarious mock-documentary milks every rock-band-on-tour cliché you could possibly imagine. Many later films, mostly British ones, have imitated this style ever since. As fresh today as it was when it was released 25 years ago, original posters for the film can be scarce. This one is particularly nice for it has never been folded and is in near mint condition.

This is the story of Bobby (Goetz), who blows all his college savings on a van and tries to get the girl of his dreams. This sexploitation comedy cheese is representative of the prevailing carnal wet dream of American high school and college boys of the 1970s, and for that reason can be thought of as a kind of cultural “artifact” of the period. This scarce 70s sexploitation poster is in good condition. There is some minor tape of reverse side. The lower right corner is missing, and there is a chip out of the right border area.
