Melvin not only does a wonderful photo spread of Judy but also tries to get her photo on the cover of Look. This MGM Technicolor treat had one show-stopping musical number after another. With a jazzy and upbeat score by George Stoll, many critics say the singing and dancing performances of O’Connor and Reynolds are the best in their careers. Though the plot is thin, the musical and dance numbers, especially by Calloway and his amazing band, are quite wonderful. Calloway and his band show why they were first-class musicians, as well as, first-class entertainers. Also featured are Dusty Fletcher, Lois, the Peters Sisters, and the Miller Brothers. This original one sheet poster is linen-backed and in very fine plus condition-- with only some minor touch-ups and minimal restorations.

This is an original Orion Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Gene Wilder horror comedy, HAUNTED HONEYMOON (1986)—starring Gilda Radner, Gene Wilder, and Dom DeLuise. This brilliantly witty horror movie stars one of the best husband and wife comedy teams in show business. Sadly this was Radner’s final film. Wilder is completely charming and does some great understated acting in this film. Radner is also enormously funny and entertaining, and DeLuise as the eccentric aunt pulls off a great drag performance. With an all-star cast, this wonderfully fun movie that has a definite “Agatha Christie-meets-Mel Brooks” feel about it. This original one sheet poster is in very good condition.

Glenn Ford hones his comic skills as the “tenderfoot.” And vivacious Ann Miller steals the show as the sharp-tongued saloon singer. Miller would go on to be one of the top MGM stars. Everything about the production was near perfect: the songs by Lerner and Loewe; the lavish sets; costumes by the great Cecil Beaton; artful direction by Minnelli; and excellent performances by all the cast, especially Chevalier who steals every scene he is in. The film won nine Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Original Song “Gigi” to Lerner and Loewe, and Best Director to Minnelli. Chevalier won a special Oscar for “contributions to the world of entertainment for more than half a century.” This original one sheet poster is in very fine plus condition with one minor fold separation.
GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES (1953) 14186
Original 20th Century Fox Six Sheet Poster (81×81). Linen-backed. Near mint condition.
This is an original 20th Century Fox Six Sheet Poster (81x81) for the popular Howard Hawks musical comedy, GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES—starring Jane Russell and Marilyn Monroe. This film was flashy, funny, warm, and opulent with Russell and Monroe performing great song and dance routines in sometimes lavish and outrageous costumes. Monroe’s legendary “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend” is more captivating than any of the numerous parodies and tributes made afterwards. Marilyn Monroe was never more adorable and innocent than her persona in this film. Russell also turns in a marvelously comic performance and manages to project a warm sense of sisterhood in her scenes with Monroe. Remember, POSTERS are a boy's best friend. And what boy, age six or sixty wouldn't want these two larger than life stars in their home theater. This original six sheet poster is linen-backed and in near mint condition.

It was nominated for eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Musical Score, and Best Original Song. Streisand shared the Oscar for Best Actress with Katharine Hepburn, one of the few times in the Oscar's history that nominees tied for the award. Hepburn won her Oscar for THE LION IN WINTER. This poster is printed on two panels. The poster is unbacked, both panels are folded but are in very fine condition. Prettier by far the any of the American posters. While the credits are in Italian, Columbia kept the English title for the Italian release.
