OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Original United Film Distribution Company One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the George A. Romero horror thriller, DAWN OF THE DEAD (1978)—starring David Emge, Ken Foree, Scott Reiniger, and Gaylen Ross. By turns horrific, hilarious, disgusting, and absurd—this film tells the story of two Philadelphia SWAT team members, a traffic reporter, and his girlfriend who seek refuge in a secluded shopping mall following an ever-growing epidemic of zombies that have risen from the dead. Not just a mockery of the hedonistic and empty America of the late 1970s, this is undoubtedly one of the great horror films of modern time. This original one sheet poster is folded, and with some scotch tape on the reverse side of the poster. A small chip in the lower right corner – in the border area – is missing. The poster is priced accordingly.

BLADE RUNNER (1982) 21264

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Original Warner Brothers One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Ridley Scott science fiction masterpiece, BLADE RUNNER (1982) starring Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, Sean Young, and Edward James Olmos. Ford, in one of his best screen performances, plays a former Blade Runner, a cop who specializes in terminating replicants, who are human clones developed to serve in the colonies outside earth. Truly one of the few true science fiction “art” films, Director Scott creates a future unlike any we’ve ever seen before. The film requires the audience to seriously think about the impact of technology on human society. These themes play out in a fairly basic detective story, but the ultimate power of the film comes from its stunning visual imagery of a dark futuristic cityscape. Indeed, the outstanding visual quality of the film garnered it Academy Award nominations for Best Art Direction and Best Visual Effects. This one sheet is folded. The poster was used in a theater for the original release and is in fine plus to very fine condition with only minor signs of general use.
