Original Universal Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Michael Apted music biography, COAL MINER’S DAUGHTER (1980) starring Sissy Spacek, Tommy Lee Jones, Levon Helm, and Phyllis Boyens. Considered by many critics to be one of the best biopics ever brought to the screen, this film tells the story of how Loretta Lynn became one of the most successful country and western singers in recording history—despite growing up in abject poverty, marrying at the tender age of 13, and having four kids to raise by the time she was 20. The film was nominated for seven Academy Awards—including Best Picture and Best Screenplay based on Lynn’s autobiography of the same title. Sissy Spacek deservedly won the Oscar for Best Actress for her unforgettable performance of this country music icon. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very fine plus condition, with no fold separations.

Two Original Fairway International Pictures Scene Lobby Cards (11×14) for the Arch Hall Sr cult classic, EEGAH (1962) starring Arch Hall Jr, Marilyn Manning, Richard Kiel and Arch Hall Sr. This musical fantasy and fun party movie tells the unlikely story of a caveman loose in the arid wastes of Palm Springs, and audiences today are astounded by the sheer freakish nature of the film. The film has really bad music, bad dialogue, and bad acting—but all bad in a fun way. Raspberry Award founder John Wilson listed the film among “The 100 Most Enjoyable Bad Movies Ever Made”. These original scene lobby cards are in very fine condition.

Original Universal Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Robert Greenwald musical fantasy, XANADU (1980) starring Olivia Newton-John, Gene Kelly, and Michael Beck. Kira (Newton-John) a Greek muse incarnated as a girl attempts to inspire an artist named Sonny (Beck) with the help of Danny (Kelly), a man Kira inspired forty years earlier. American copywriter and publicist John J. B. Wilson decided to formalize his Golden Raspberry Awards (Razzies) after watching a double feature of CAN’T STOP THE MUSIC (1980) and XANADU. The film received 6 Razzie nominations, including Worst Picture, Worst Screenplay, Worst Original Song, Worst Actor for Beck, and Worst Actress for Newton-John. Robert Greewald won the Razzie for Worst Director. With good color and no fold separations, this original one sheet poster is folded and in very fine plus condition.

Original 20th Century-Fox One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Martin Ritt union organizing drama, NORMA RAE (1979) starring Sally Field, Beau Bridges, Ron Leibman, and Pat Hingle. This excellent drama is the story of a young single mother and textile worker who agrees to help unionize her mill despite the problems and dangers involved. The film was based on the true life union organizing campaign at the J.P. Stevens Mill, where it took ten years to get a union contract after workers won the election. The film was nominated for four Oscars—including Best Picture and Best Screenplay. Sally Field won the Oscar for Best Actress, and the film also won Best Original Song. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very good condition. There is a scratch at the bottom of the poster in the credit area which prevents us from grading the poster higher. We have priced it accordingly.

Original Paramount Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Sergio Leone western masterpiece, ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST (1968) starring Henry Fonda, Claudi Cardinale, Jason Robards, and Charles Bronson. This film tells the story of a young woman, Jill McBain (Cardinale), who moves from New Orleans to frontier Utah—only to find her husband and family have been slaughtered. A man names Cheyenne (Robards), a suspect in the murder, befriends her and offers to hunt down the real killer. Director Leone redefined the western with lots more feelings and emotions. He transformed the romantic notion of the West as an exiting and generally nice place to be with an honest portrayal of the sheer harshness of western life. This original one sheet poster is folded and in fine condition—with some fold distress and small creases, a few minor dings, and a small fold separation at the fold intersection.

Original United Artists 1979 Re-Release One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Norman Jewison family musical, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (1971) starring Topol, Norman Crane, Leonard Frey, and Molly Picon. This is the film version of the Broadway musical, based on the stories of Sholom Aleichem, about a poor Jewish peasant in pre-revolutionary Russia who must deal with marrying off his three daughters in an atmosphere of anti-Semitic and state sanctioned pogroms. The Broadway production opened at the Imperial Theater in New York in September of 1964 and ran for 3,242 performances, setting a record for the longest running show at that time. Director Jewison wanted the whole film shot in an “earthy” tone. So cinematographer Oswald Morris shot most of the film with a woman’s brown stocking over the lens. Morris won the Oscar for Best Cinematography, and the film received two other Oscars for Best Editing and Best Original Score to John Williams. This original re-release one sheet poster is in very fine plus condition.

Original American International Pictures Advance One Sheet Poster (27×41) for the Richard T. Heffron science fiction thriller, FUTUREWORLD (1976) starring Peter Fonda, Blythe Danner, Arthur Hill, and Yul Brynner. This sequel to WESTWORLD (1973) is set a number of years in the future. The story concerns tow reporters, Chuck Browning (Fonda) and Tracy Ballard (Danner) who are covering the re-opening of Delos, the “virtual reality” amusement park that went haywire in the original film. This was the first live-action film to use computer-generated 3D imagery. This original advance one sheet poster is folded and in very good condition—with only some plastic tape on the reverse side that has stained the front side.
