This is an original MGM Lobby Card (11x14) for the Clarence Brown romantic comedy, COME LIVE WITH ME (1941)—starring James Stewart and Hedy Lamarr. The film title comes from the first line of a sonnet by Christopher Marlowe. Lamarr plays an Austrian refugee who has overstayed her visitor’s visa, and immigration officials want to send her back to her now Nazi homeland. But she realizes that she can stay if she can get married within a week, and she proposes a “marriage of convenience” to struggling writer Stewart. Besides expert direction by Brown—the film also has a charming screenplay, an engaging supporting cast, an excellent music score by Herbert Stothart, and beautiful b&w cinematography by George Folsey. This original lobby card is in very fine condition with only a notch missing from the lower right border.

With skillful direction by Jack Arnold and wonderful music - some of it by Henry Mancini - this film turned into an immediate cult classic still being enjoyed even today. This is an original Orion Pictures Style B One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Woody Allen comedy/drama, CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS (1989)—starring Allen, Bill Bernstein, Martin Landau, Claire Bloom, and Alan Alda. This film is really two separate stories about adultery. The first one involves a New York doctor (Landau) who resorts to desperate measures to cover-up his long-term adulterous affair. The other story is about an unhappily married documentary filmmaker (Allen) who fights an adulterous temptation while making his latest documentary about a successful TV producer (Alda), who is also his hated brother-in-law and represents everything that Allen despises. This film is an astounding mixture of the deadly serious and the incredibly funny that Allen does so well. It garnered an Academy Award nomination for Landau for Best Supporting Actor. Woody Allen received two nominations for Best Director and Best Screenplay. This original style B one sheet poster is rolled and in very fine condition.
