Original MGM Advance One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Michelangelo Antonioni romantic drama, ZABRISKIE POINT (1970)—starring Mark Frechette and Daria Halprin. This visually stunning film is an epic portrait of 1960s America as seen through the eyes of anthropology student Daria (Halprin) and dropout Mark (Frechette) who is also wanted for killing a policeman during a student riot. Although the story is simple, Antonioni uses is to frame his brilliant observations of American “consumer” culture, the counter-culture, and the anti-war attitudes so prominent at the time. This original advance one sheet poster is folded and in fine condition.

This is the story of Dean Youngblood (Lowe), a New York farmer’s son who goes to play for a Canadian minor league hockey team and falls in love with the coach’s daughter (Gibb). Some critics proclaim it to be the best hockey movie ever made, while many Canadian hockey fans complain that the film is a poor representation of what the sport is really like. This original one sheet poster is rolled and in very fine condition.

Original Columbia Pictures Scene Lobby Card (11x14) for the Wesley Ruggles screwball romantic comedy, YOU BELONG TO ME (1942)—starring Barbara Stanwyck, Henry Fonda, and Edgar Buchanan. In this last pairing of Stanwyck and Fonda, he plays a bored and wealthy playboy who meets Dr. Helen Hunt (Stanwyck) at a ski resort. They get married, but she wants to continue her practice, which includes many handsome men of which Fonda is insanely jealous. This original scene card is in very good plus condition, with only one small hole (patched) and some tape on the reverse side.

This is an original 1956 Dominant Pictures Re-release Half Sheet Poster (22x28) for the Michael Curtiz musical biography, YANKEE DOODLE DANDY (1942)—starring James Cagney, Joan Leslie, and Walter Huston. This is a musical portrait of James M. Cohan—who wrote, produced, directed, and starred in his own musical shows for which he composed many memorable songs. Known as “the man who owned Broadway” in the decade before World War I, Cohan is considered to be father of American musical comedy. Cagney won the Oscar for Best Actor, and the film also won Oscars for Best Music and Best Sound Recording. It was also nominated in five other categories—including Best Original Story, Best Director, and Best Picture. Some staining. This poster can be easily restored. An interesting image of Cagney, this reissue poster of 1956 is actually scarcer than 1942 posters. Ask us about restoration. Originally folded, this 1956 re-release half sheet poster is in good condition.

Original Universal Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Robert Greenwald musical fantasy, XANADU (1980)—starring Olivia Newton-John, Gene Kelly, and Michael Beck. Kira (Newton-John) a Greek muse incarnated as a girl attempts to inspire an artist named Sonny (Beck) with the help of Danny (Kelly), a man Kira inspired forty years earlier. American copywriter and publicist John J. B. Wilson decided to formalize his Golden Raspberry Awards (Razzies) after watching a double feature of CAN’T STOP THE MUSIC (1980) and XANADU. The film received 6 Razzie nominations, including Worst Picture, Worst Screenplay, Worst Original Song,Worst Actor for Beck, and Worst Actress for Newton-John. Robert Greewald won the Razzie for Worst Director. With good color and no fold separations, this original one sheet poster is folded and in very fine plus condition.

This is an original United Artists One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the William Wyler romantic drama, WUTHERING HEIGHTS (1939)—starring Merle Oberon, Laurence Olivier, and David Niven. Based on the famous novel by Emily Bronte, this excellent film was nominated for 8 Academy Awards—including Best Actor for Olivier, Best Director for Wyler, and Best Picture. The film won the Oscar for Best Cinematography for Gregg Toland’s astounding work in which he perfectly captures the very essence of the bleak, chilling, haunting Yorkshire Moors. Olivier’s dark, brooding, and terribly bitter Heathcliff and Oberon’s dark and exotically beautifully Cathy give two of the very best performances of their illustrious careers. Very fine condition.

Adapted from a novel by D. H. Lawrence, this film represents one of the best literary adaptations in modern film history. The cast is nearly magical in dissecting the lives of four intelligent and educated young people in the British industrial Midlands in the early 1920’s. Jackson who was relatively unknown at the time won her first Oscar for her magnificent performance. The film was also nominated for Best Cinematography, Best Director, and Best Screenplay. This original insert poster is in very good condition.
