This is an original United Artists Window Card (14x22) for the Frederick De Cordova musical comedy, FRANKIE AND JOHNNY (1966)—starring Elvis Presley, Donna Douglas, Harry Morgan, and Nancy Kovack. Set on a riverboat in the 1890’s, the film tells the story of Johnny (Presley) who is a riverboat entertainer with a big gambling problem. Frankie (Douglas) is his girl, but then his redheaded “lucky charm” Nellie (Kovack) comes on the scene. Besides the title song, other notable songs include “Hard Luck” and “Please Don’t Stop Loving Me.” This original window card is in fine + condition.

Original United Artists One Sheet Poster (27x41) for Alfred Hitchcock spy thriller, FOREIGN CORRESPONDENT—starring Joel McCrea, Laraine Day, Herbert Marshall, and George Sanders. This exciting mystery has New York reporter John Jones (McCrea) being sent to London as a substitute foreign correspondent. In his second American film, Hitchcock combines suspense, action, and comedy into a very artful film that garnered six Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture. The poster had crossfold separations, minor paper loss, and minor chipping. All of these minor flaws were artfully addressed in the restoration, and now the poster displays beautifully. This wonderful poster is rarely offered for sale-- so act accordingly! This original one sheet poster is linen-backed and in fine plus condition.

This is an original Warner Bros. Lobby Card (11x14) for the Lloyd Bacon musical comedy, FOOTLIGHT PARADE (1933)—starring James Cagney, Joan Blondell, Ruby Keeler, and Dick Powell. Cagney plays Chester Kent, a producer of “prologues” or short musical stage productions that were presented in movie theaters before the features. Busby Berkeley choreographed all of the elaborate dance numbers, which were all shot with only one camera. With a snappy script and an all-star cast, this film is one of the best of the 1930’s musical comedy extravaganzas. This original scene card is for the number “By a Waterfall,” which features “pre-code” scantily clad beauties in some astonishing kaleidoscopic choreography. This scene card is in fine condition with only some minor pinholes and a small missing chip in the upper border.

This is an original Warner Bros. Window Card (14x22) for the Mervyn LeRoy and Bobby Connolly romantic comedy, FOOLS FOR SCANDAL (1938)-- starring Carole Lombard, Fernand Gravet, and Ralph Bellamy. This endearing, lighthearted screwball comedy was not a box office success because of the negative publicity surrounding the affair between Lombard and Clark Gable. Because Gable was already married, Lombard was regarded as a "home wrecker." This original window card has been trimmed (13X16) and is in good but not fine condition. Restoration is recommended; MovieArt can arrange for restoration.

This is an original Belgian Poster (23x33) for the Mark Sandrich RKO musical FOLLOW THE FLEET (1936), staring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in one of their best performances. Irving Berlin wrote the score that includes great dance numbers like “Let Yourself Go” and the memorable “Let’s Face the Music and Dance.” The film also features Randolf Scott and Harriett Hilliard (of later “Ozzie and Harriett” fame) who sings two wonderful songs. With beautiful images of the great dancing duo, this original Belgium stone lithograph poster has been linen backed and is in very fine condition.

Original Columbia Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Lewis Gilbert dramatic comedy, EDUCATING RITA (1983)—starring Michael Caine, Julie Walters, Michael Williams, and Maureen Lipman. Based on a London stage play, this excellent British production is about a 27-year-old middle-class London hairdresser/housewife (Walters) who enrolls in a literature course. An older professor (Caine) who suffers from alcoholism and low self-esteem is assigned to be her tutor. Caine teaches her to value her own insights while still being able to ace the exams. With much wit and good humor, the message of the film is empowering. Caine and Walters are truly excellent in their performances; indeed, they both received nominations for Best Actor and Actress. Also, screenwriter Willy Russell was nominated for Best Screenplay. This original one sheet poster is rolled and in very fine plus condition.

This part melodrama part murder mystery is told from the point of view of a lady of leisure (Stanwyck) whose husband (Mason) is a habitual philanderer. Former mistress Gardner comes to town determined to win back Mason and willing to stop at nothing to do so. And thanks to good acting from the entire cast and adept directing from LeRoy, this involving story really comes alive. This original title card is in very good condition, with only minor edge wear and some tape on the reverse side of the card.

Original 20th Century Fox Stone Lithograph B Style One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the John Ford Revolutionary war drama, DRUMS ALONG THE MOHAWK (1939)—starring Claudette Colbert, Henry Fonda, Edna May Oliver, and Eddie Collins. This was John Ford’s first film in color and his only film set in the American Revolution. The film deals with the warfare between the settlers in Western New York and the Six Nations of the Iroquois who allied themselves with the British. Bert Glennon’s and Ray Rennahan’s beautiful cinematography bring the film vividly to life with lots of great action scenes. Both cinematographers were nominated for an Academy Award, and Edna May Oliver was nominated for Best Supporting Actress. This original style B one sheet poster is folded and in very fine condition. One of the truly great Fox stone lithographs.
