This is an original Paramount Pictures 1977 Reissued One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Roger Vadim sci-fi fantasy, BARBARELLA (1968)—starring Jane Fonda, John Phillip Law, and Milo O’Shea. Based on a popular French comic strip of Jean-Claude Forest and cleverly adapted for the screen by Terry Southern, this film has been styled one of the “trash classics” of the 1960s. Barbarella (Fonda) is a 41st Century astronaut who teams up with a blind angel named Pygar (Law) to find the evil Durand Durand (O’Shea). This was the first sci-fi hero from comics to be adapted into a feature film instead of a serial like Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers, and the film has some of the most bizarre and surreal images of the period. This original reissued one sheet poster is in very fine condition.

It is an enjoyable film if you like exotic adventure stories with a Greco-Roman flavor. This original three sheet poster is folded and in fine plus condition.

This is an original Universal Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the sci-fi comedy spoof, AMAZON WOMEN ON THE MOON (1987). Directors Joe Dante, Carl Gottlieb, Peter Horton, John Landis, and Robert Weiss team up in this 1950s sci-fi spoof, interspersed with short comedy sketches, most of which parody late-night television and the low-budget movies one finds there. This film is loopy, silly comedy anarchy at its best. This original one sheet poster is rolled and in very fine condition. Never folded!

Original "recalled" 20th Century Fox One Sheet Poster for the James Cameron sci-fi thriller, ALIENS (1986)—starring Sigourney Weaver, Carrie Henn, and Michael Biehn. Weaver reprises her role as Ripley from the original ALIEN (1979) for one of the most exciting and critically acclaimed sequels of all time. This popular film solidified Cameron’s reputation as a first-rate director of high-tech, fast-paced action thrillers. The film was nominated for seven Academy Awards—including a Best Actress nomination for Weaver. The film won the Oscar for Best Sound Effects and Best Visual Effects. The is the original one sheet poster for this film which has a portrait of Weaver holding Henn in her arms, but the actress objected to the way she looked. Fox, therefore, recalled this poster and released an entirely different one sheet This original one sheet poster is rolled and in near mint condition. This poster measures 26 1/2 inches by 41 inches. We believe these to be the correct dimensions for rolled copies of this poster. The image dimensions are 25 x 39. We acquired our copies, a full box of 50, from Poster Emporium in 1986 when the film came out -- in a box that had been sent from Fox Pictures. Please note that reproductions of one sheets are almost always no longer than 40 inches. MovieArt will sell no reproductions.

This is an original 20th Century Fox One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Ridley Scott sci-fi horror masterpiece, ALIEN (1979)—starring Tom Skerritt, Sigourney Weaver, Veronica Cartwright, Harry Dean Stanton, and John Hurt. For its pure sense of dread and remarkable art direction ALIEN is regarded as a great movie. Its simplicity, its cold and dark beauty, and its many iconic scenes are the chief reasons that the movie has it's many admirers. Every camera shot is gorgeous, and every camera movement is breathtaking. Director Scott’s well-honed talents of pacing and editing create an atmosphere of anxiety and fear seldom maintained in sci-fi films. This is an original Republic Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the John English and William Witney sci-fi adventure fantasy, ADVENTURES OF CAPTAIN MARVEL (1941)—starring Tom Tyler, Frank Coghlan Jr., and William Benedict. Many critics consider this 12 episode serial to be the best serial ever made, and most would agree that the film is certainly one of the best comic book adaptations ever made. The special effects were astonishing for the time; moreover, the film had great stunt work, excellent fight sequences, and very innovative cliffhangers. This is the one sheet for Chapter 3 of the serial, Time Bomb. This poster is unique in the series of CAPTAIN MARVEL one sheets in that it shows in the inset photo Billy Batson, Captain Marvel's alter ego, played in the series by Frank Coghlan, Jr. Famous western star Tom Tyler played the superhero. This was the twenty first serial produced by Republic PIctures, the studio generally regarded to be the best serial producer. This original one sheet poster is linen-backed and in fine plus condition.
