THE VAN 1977 (668)
Original Crown International Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41). Good condition only.
Original Crown International Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Sam Grossman sexploitation comedy, THE VAN (1977)—starring Stuart Goetz, Deborah White, Harry Moses, and Danny DeVito. This is the story of Bobby (Goetz), who blows all his college savings on a van and tries to get the girl of his dreams. This sexploitation comedy cheese is representative of the prevailing carnal wet dream of American high school and college boys of the 1970s, and for that reason can be thought of as a kind of cultural “artifact” of the period. This scarce 70s sexploitation poster is in good condition. There is some minor tape of reverse side. The lower right corner is missing, and there is a chip out of the right border area.
THE BIG DOLL HOUSE (1971) 10482
Original New World Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41). Very good condition.
This is an original New World Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Jack Hill exploitation drama, THE BIG DOLL HOUSE (1971)—starring Judith M. Brown, Roberta Collins, and Pam Grier. This film was one of the most interesting and certainly one of the most influential of the “women-in-prison” genre. It certainly has enough exploitation—including random drug use, sadistic torture, sexual antics, gunfights, catfights, and mud wrestling. But besides the exploitation, the strength and determination of the women is also represented. Despite its meager budget, the film has surprisingly solid production qualities, including a saucy score by Hall Daniels and excellent camera work with an exacting eye for detail. THE BIG DOLL HOUSE also kicked off the short lived but legendary “made-in-the-Philippines-but-set-in-some-nameless-Banana-Republic” cycle. This original one sheet poster is in fine condition. The poster is slightly trimmed in the border area.
SORORITY BABES IN THE SLIMEBALL BOWL-0-RAMA (1988) 17945
Original One Sheet Poster (28×40.5). Originally folded. Good condition.
This is an original One Sheet Poster (28x40.5) for the David DeCoteau horror/sexploitation spoof, SORORITY BABES IN THE SLIMEBALL BOWL-O-RAMA (1988)—starring Andras Jones, Linnea Quigley, and Robin Stille. In this low-budget, camp classic sorority pledges are subjected to “institutionalized sadism" inflicted by Babs (Stille), a future prison warden. Babs forces them to break into a shopping mall to steal a bowling trophy. There they encounter an evil Imp—some kind of Eddie Murphy wannabe crossed with Freddy Krueger and a game show host—who traps them and turns some of them into zombies. This movie gives bowling a bad name. The poster elicits comment whereever it is displayed. This original one sheet poster was originally folded, but has been stored rolled and is in good condition. Beware of fakes! MovieArt will sell NO reproductions.
POINT OF TERROR (1971) 3772
Original Crown International Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41). Fine condition.
This is an original Crown International Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Alex Nicol sexploitation horror melodrama, POINT OF TERROR (1971)—starring Peter Carpenter, Dyanne Thorne, Lory Hansen, and Leslie Simms. This film tells the story of a ruthless nightclub singer who has nightmares about being involved in adultery and murder, only to wake up and realize that indeed he might be involved in adultery and murder. This film is so astonishingly awful that it is included in a 2004 Rhino multi-film DVD set titled HORRIBLE HORRORS. This original one sheet poster is in fine condition.

MAU-MAU (1955) 6996
Original Rock-Price Productions Window Card (14×22). Near mint condition.
This is an original Rock-Price Productions Window Card (14x22) for the Elwood Price exploitation documentary, MAU-MAU (1955)—narrated by NBC newsman Chet Huntley. This supposed documentary shows the rise of the African resistance movement known as “Mau-Mau” against British rule in East Africa in the early 1950’s but in reality was an opportunity to show as many bare-breasted African women as possible. Director Price took the completed film to most of the big studios and television networks, but they all rejected it. Finally, he took it to exploitation legend Dan Sonney, who marketed it as an “outlaw” picture—one that was “too hot” for Hollywood. This original window card is in near mint condition.
