THE GODFATHER: PART II (1974) 2272
Original Paramount Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41). Good condition, folded.
This is an original Paramount Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Francis Ford Coppola epic crime drama, THE GODFATHER: PART II (1974)—starring Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, Robert Duvall, and Diane Keeton. Considered by many to be one of the best movies of all time and certainly the best gangster movie of all time, this Coppola masterpiece won six academy awards including Best Picture, Best Director to Coppola, and Best Supporting Actor to Robert DeNiro, much of his dazzling performance being spoken in Italian with English subtitles. This beautifully crafted film presents two parallel storylines of the slow moral decline of Michael Corleone in late 1950’s (excellently portrayed by Al Pacino who was nominated for Best Actor) and flashbacks of the rise of Michael’s father Vito Corleone (in an Oscar-winning performance by DeNiro) from his youth in Sicily to the founding of the Corleone family in New York. The beautiful cinematography by Gordon Willis used a tint in the flashback sequences giving them a softer, richer look than the very sharp image of the contemporary story. This authentic one sheet is in theater-used good condition and has one additional fold. We recommend linen backing for this poster and we have priced it accordingly. Ask us about restorations.
THE GIRL HUNTERS (1963) 2274
Original Colorama Features One Sheet Poster (27×41). Originally folded. Near mint condition.
Original Colorama Features One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Roy Rowland mystery thriller, THE GIRL HUNTERS (1963)—starring Mickey Spillane, Shirley Eaton, Scott Peters, and Guy Kingsley Poynter. This British production takes an unusual approach to making a movie about the All-American big city, hard-nosed private detective—Mike Hammer. This main role was given to the creator of the role, Mickey Spillane. Many of the other roles were given to British actors playing Americans. The film is skillfully photographed, mostly well acted, and boasts a lyrical and moving musical score. Originally folded, this one sheet poster is in near mint condition.
THE FRIENDS OF EDDIE COYLE (1973) 3063
Original Paramount Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41). Very good.
This is an original Paramount Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Peter Yates crime thriller, THE FRIENDS OF EDDIE COYLE (1973)-- starring Robert Mitchum, Peter Boyle, and Richard Jordan. One of the grittiest of the 1970s crime films, THE FRIENDS OF EDDIE COYLE is often overlooked for more high profile fare like THE GODFATHER. But Mitchum is great as a down on his look thief who is asked to inform on a gang planning to rob a bank and Peter Boyle is sensational as the crook sent to kill him. This poster is in very good condition, folded, with average use.
THE FRENCH CONNECTION (1971) 1934
Original 20th Century Fox One Sheet Poster (27×41). Folded. Fine condition.
This is an original 20th Century Fox One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the William Friedkin action thriller, THE FRENCH CONNECTION (1971)—starring Gene Hackman, Fernando Rey, and Roy Scheider. Considered shockingly violent in the early 70s but pretty tame by today’s standards, Friedkin employs a documentary style that produces a very intense, fast-paced, and hard-edged crime drama about two New York City detectives (Hackman and Scheider) looking to end the war on drugs by taking down an international conspiracy. The film was a critical and box office success; indeed, it received eight Academy Award nominations and won five Oscars—including Best Actor for Hackman, Best Director for Friedkin, Best Screenplay for Ernest Tidyman, and Best Picture. This original one sheet poster was originally folded and is in fine condition.
THE FALLEN SPARROW (1943) 2504
Original RKO Scene Lobby Card (11×14). Fine plus condition with only minor pinholes and edge wear.
Original RKO Scene Lobby Card (11x14) for the Richard Wallace film-noir thriller, THE FALLEN SPARROW (1943)—starring John Garfield, Maureen O Hara, Walter Slezak, and Patricia Morison. This wonderful thriller tells the story of John McKittick (Garfield), a former Spanish Civil War prisoner, who arrives in New York to find out the truth behind the death of his friend. When he discovers that Nazi agents are chasing him, he realizes that he can’t trust anyone. Hollywood “fought” World War II on many fronts, including thrillers dedicated to smoking out the Fifth Column at home like this film. Based on a popular novel by Dorothy B. Hughes, the title comes from the line “…in a world at war many sparrows must fall….” This original scene lobby card is in fine plus condition with only some minor pinholes and edge wear.
THE ENFORCER (1976) 6545
Original Warner Bros. One Sheet Poster (27×41). Near mint condition.
Original Warner Bros. One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the James Fargo crime thriller, THE ENFORCER (1976)—starring Clint Eastwood and Tyne Daly. This was the third in the “Dirty Harry” Callahan popular series, all starring the legendary four-times Academy Awards-winning actor and director Clint Eastwood. In this thriller, Dirty Harry must foil a terrorist organization made up of disgruntled Vietnam veterans—the People’s Liberation Strike Force. Daly gives her best screen performance as Kate Moore, Harry’s new female partner. Just like the other films in this series, this film gives the audience a chance to share vicariously in the triumph of good over evil, as Harry once again metes out justice in his own inimitable way.

THE DOOM GENERATION (1995) 16619
Original Trimark Pictures One Sheet Poster (27×41). Originally folded. Good used condition with some slight defects.
This is an original Trimark Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Gregg Araki cult comedy classic, THE DOOM GENERATION (1995)—starring James Duval, Rose McGowan, and Johnathon Schaech. This wildly entertaining sex-murder romp is the story of two “troubled teens” (Duval and McGowan) who pick up an adolescent bi-sexual drifter (Schaech). The trio embarks on a sex and violence-filled journey through a surreal and psychotic Los Angeles. Written and directed by Asian-American Gregg Araki, this road trip to hell is deliberately trashy, satirizing decadent America’s love of consumption and surface beauty. Fueled by a soundtrack of mid-90’s alternative bands, this dark film offers a bleak but humorous look at the pop generation culture of its time. This one sheet poster was originally folded and is in good condition with some slight defects.
