Original Paramount Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Anatole Litvak film noir thriller, SORRY, WRONG NUMBER (1948) starring Barbara Stanwyck and Burt Lancaster. This is the story of the transformation of a spoiled, wealthy hypochondriac into a helpless and terrified victim when she inadvertently overhears a conversation between two men plotting a murder. The overall feeling of gloom reaches its climax when our neurotic heroine realizes that the intended murder victim is herself. The story was originally a radio drama starring Agnes Moorehead, but the expanded film version was able to build the suspense and tension of the original into a more terrifying conclusion. Barbara Stanwyck gives a wonderful performance and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress. This original one sheet poster is linen-backed and in fine condition.
