FOOTLIGHT PARADE (1933) 2631

This is an original Warner Brothers Lobby Card (11x14) for the Lloyd Bacon musical comedy, FOOTLIGHT PARADE (1933) starring James Cagney, Joan Blondell, Ruby Keeler, and Dick Powell. Cagney plays Chester Kent, a producer of "prologues" or short musical stage productions that were presented in movie theaters before the features. Busby Berkeley choreographed all of the elaborate dance numbers, all of which were photographed with only one camera. With a snappy script and an all-star cast, this film is one of the best of the 1930's musical comedy extravaganzas. This original scene card is for the number "By a Waterfall," which features "pre-code" scantily clad beauties in some astonishing kaleidoscopic choreography. This scene card is in fine condition with only some minor pinholes and a small missing chip in the upper border. Rare and wonderful.
