This delightful musical satire is based on Anthony Hope's novel, "The Prisoner of Zenda," in which a commoner takes the place of a look-alike king. In this version, the King of Sulvania is going to outlaw swing music upon his coronation. So, the king is kidnapped by swing lovers and replaced with his look-alike cousin. Hal Le Roy, saxophonist and tap dancer extraordinaire, is wonderful in the duel role of king and cousin. And June Allyson, only in the second year of her film career, is delightful as the princess. This original one sheet poster is linen-backed and in very fine condition.
