Original Columbia Pictures Stock Window Card (14×22) for their cowboy star, BUCK JONES (1930). Following his military service, which ended in 1913, Jones began working as a real cowboy in Oklahoma. After marrying Odille Osborne, who rode horses professionally, he decided to leave the cowboy life behind and get a job in the film industry. Universal Pictures hired him for $5 a day as a bit player and stuntman. By the end of his career, Jones had more than 160 film credits to his name in a career that began in 1918. By the 1930s he was under contract with Columbia Pictures, who released this window card to promote the “all-talking” westerns starring Jones. With only some rusty tack holes, the condition is fine plus.
