Based the immortal play by Sir James Barrie, this film is one of the best Disney movies of all time and certainly one of the iconic films of the Baby Boom Generation. The Disney version of the story is light and breezy and moves at a quick pace. When Peter, Wendy, and her two brothers leap out of the nursery window and fly over Edwardian London at night, the audience is treated to some of the most charming animation ever created for film. Later parts of the movie are equally enchanting, and the villainous Captain Hook is brought to great comic life by the Disney animators and the marvelous vocal talent of Conreid. A delightful score with a bouquet of delightful songs bring the story to life. This original six sheet poster is measure 84×84 inches and is printed on only two panels. Very fine plus.

Original Belgian 1975 Re-Release Poster (13×21) for the Clyde Geronimi and Wilfred Jackson animation classic, ALICE IN WONDERLAND (1951) starring the voices of Kathryn Beaumont, Ed Wynn, Richard Haydn, and Sterling Holloway. This wonderful Disney version of the Lewis Carroll children’s story is actually a combination of the two books, “Alice in Wonderland” and “Through the Looking Glass.” Except for a fairly normal Alice, all of the other characters are slightly twisted and strangely funny. The character designs and animation are beautiful, and the songs are also wonderful. Indeed, the film’s only Academy Award nomination was Best Musical Score for Oliver Wallace. PINOCCHIO (1940) 21355

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Original U.S. One Sheet poster, re-release of 1945, for the Walt Disney beloved animation classic, PINOCCHIO (1940). This film is the animated musical version of Carlo Collodi’s 1883 novel The Adventures of Pinocchio. The lonely carpenter Geppetto carves a wooden boy named Pinocchio who comes to life after his creator “wishes upon a star.” The Blue Fairy tells Pinocchio that he can become a real boy if he leads an honest, exemplary life, but Pinocchio’s naivete and suggestibility make him an easy target for the criminal element that wishes to exploit him at every turn. PINOCCHIO won two Academy Awards for music, and the Leigh Harline and Ned Washington song “When You Wish Upon a Star” became so iconic that Walt Disney pictures adopted it as its official theme. This is the American one sheet poster for the first re-release of the animation classic – the release of 1945. Interestingly enough, the character Jiminy Cricket and the Blue Fairy are emphasized on this poster. The poster is an offset lithograph in excellent, very fine plus, condition.
